Or, they begin to wonder about it as age encroaches. A rational proof of an afterlife would transform the nature of logic itself—and the mind!

I have developed a room that is modeled on the ancient Greek's Psychomanteum, or oracles of the dead. By adding a variety of elements, I have created an atmosphere conducive to altered states of consciousness. Within this environment, I engage visitors in the process of attempting to attain the altered state of consciousness that can lead to "visionary encounters with departed loved ones."

In effect, a Psychomanteum is a darkened room… dark colored walls… very dimly lit with indirect lighting - on the wall in front of a seat is a specially blessed mirror. In a table in front of the client is a bowl of holy water... That's it. After a brief ceremony people see apparitions of deceased loved ones or spiritual energy or entities around them either in the mirror or in the bowl.
